STEM CELL INJECTIONS

Stem cells are the basic building blocks of our body. They are the cells that replicate to form new muscle, bone, or tendon. The stem cells we use are drawn from your bone marrow and concentrated and injected back into the injured area being treated. This can promote healing and faster recovery.

PRP - PLATELET RICH PLASMA INJECTIONS

Platelets are parts of cells that the body uses to form clots. These parts of cells are rich in growth factors which the body uses to help heal injuries. PRP is concentrated platelets that are drawn from you in clinic and injected into the area that is being treated.

  • Uses for PRP: Surgery- PRP can be used at time of surgery to help promote healing of a repair or surgical incision.
  • Tendonitis: PRP can be injected to promote healing of the tendon and in some cases prevent need for surgery
  • Arthritis: PRP can be injected into an arthritic joint and can greatly decrease the inflammation of the joint decreasing pain and swelling.

HYALURONIC ACID/VISCOSUPPLEMENTATION INJECTIONS (“ROOSTER SHOTS”)

These injections which some people refer to as “Roster shots” are made up of a clear material called Hyaluronic Acid. This is the same substance that your body produces to lubricate your joints. These injections usually are given in a series of three injections spaced out by a week. These injections are used to treat knee arthritis. They provide lubrication and pain relief to an arthritic knee.
